I wasn't in to soccer at all before this project. It is going to be hard to find all of this information on the French team. I've found out that the French soccer team is one of the oldest in Europe. Although they are one of the oldest, they're World Cup history isn't that great. If I were a player on the French team I wouldn't be scared about losing the World Cup. They haven't won many World Cup games and since none of the players have lost their life I don't think that is something to worry about. Since the French economy is fifth in the world, in nominal terms, they are obviously not a third world country. This must mean that a lot of the French players are very pampered. It would be nice to be one the French players because I imagine that the country takes good care of their players. Also since they want their players to do, and be, the best France will obviously make sure their players have the best equipment and coaches. Overall, people in France love to watch soccer, but the players do not need to worry about losing because nothing will happen to them. I'm sure that if the players win they will pampered for a while France has the money to do so. I think that since a lot of the population in France watches, and enjoys playing, soccer the players will be considered celebrities if they win the World Cup. Although the players will be bummed if they lose they will be ecstatic if they win.

National Soccer team of France

I don't know that much about soccer but i am interesting in following FIFA to learn more about soccer and more about their nationality. I am really hoping that France wins FIFA and that I get a chance to talk to one of the French team's players because that would be an amazing experience. I researched the France national team and this is what I found.

FIFA was created in Paris and held its first competition in 1906 but it was not very successful. The FIFA world cup first started in 1930. FIFA has 208 member associations.The national team for France was created around 1904 which is the same time a the creation of FIFA. They played their first game against Belgium. France is sometime referred to as Les Bleus which means The Blues. The team can be also called Les Tricolores because of the teams red, white, and blue color. This is because the team has an all blue shirt that they wear. Their rival team is Italy, which first started in 1910. They are one of the leading international football teams and have competed in 18 world cups and have won two of the world cups. France really started to get good in the 1990s because of their new player named Zinedine Zidane who also had the famous head-butting incident while playing Italy. France's national stadium is called the Stade de France and it is located in Saint-Denis, which is a suburb of Paris. They play most of their major home games here.
